In an attempt to keep Planescape alive in D&D 3.5, The World of Alidor is full of portals. One of the best places on the net to learn about Planescape is Mimmir.net. The site also has a great planar slang dictionary or planar cant.
Most games in Alidor are on the prime, but from time to time players can take side treks to the outer planes. The Planar Handbook & Manual of the Planes are used to help fill in details when games shift toward extra planar travel.
