Humans of Alidor are a grim folk known best for their ability to focus on a goal and stick to it until either two things happen, it is achieved or they are struck down in the process. Ingenuity and industry combined with a smidge of curiosity have allowed these beings to carve out their own place in Alidor, and take hold of it. As people in general, they are a bit aggressive, and tend to guard what is theirs much the same way a dragon protects and covets its hoard.
Seldom do humans work together on a goal for more than a fortnight without falling into a mob of chaos unless a strong leader steps forth to guide to people forward. Families have household heads, which are male or female. Villages have mayors or chiefs that have either beaten their way to the top in tests of endurance and war, or have learned the art of diplomacy and compromise. Most make it to the top by providing hope, food and shelter to those that need it the most, while ensuring that their own personal needs are met at the unwitting expense of the people they “help”.
Most orcs of old say humans are a pestilence to this place. “They have taken all that is ours, and turned around, and claimed it as if it were theirs in the first place.”
