Played too Much D&D this Weekend

Wow busy weekend! Saturday I played the Core Final RPGA module for Living Greyhawk with everyone else in Central Illinois who missed it this summer, like five people…  Anyway, I am glad it is over. We played at APL 14, I was the lowest level PC at the table at 13th level and I only died once. Another player had a cohort who also died and I think everyone had a favor that saved them from certain death and ended up having to use it. 14hours of play later the campaign ended… I may say more after December 31st, if I remember it still. What I can say, is that my PC did more damage in one round as the product of a detonate spell during his death throws than he ever did as a fighter. I like to think it was due to all the metal shrapnel from his weapons and armor rapidly accelerating away from him in every direction as he exploded.

On Sunday, we started early with another Living Greyhawk game that was actually fun. My wife had her dwarf fighter and I had my rouge. We also had a druid and his dire bat, a priest of Pelor and a wizard, I think. We laid low some orcs and sneaked around some houses and parleyed with goblin kings. Goblin Kings. I was totally thinking about the Hobbit. When is that movie coming out? My wife was thinking Labrynth when the DM started talking about the Goblin King.
