Nearly Done with a Decent RPGA Plot Arc for LG

Honestly, I play in the RPGA just so I can get a chance to roll dice as a PC instead of as the DM, I never really payed attention to the “plot arcs” of the RPGA modules, I just played in mods offered at cons and home games that sounded cool and fit my schedule. I was almost always the player at the table who was out of sync with the plot arc. Not this time.

This year, apparently, without even knowing it, my wife and I, had been taking part in the Honor Among Thieves Living Living Greyhawk arc. I was told this last night by one of the players at the table who, I  am pretty sure plays D&D nearly 8days a week. He said that there are four modules: Machinations, Aspirations and Celebrations and some other module I can not remember the name of; call it part four for now. Anyway, we played Celebrations last night and had a blast. It could have been the “Nackle” gnome at the table that made it fun, or maybe it was the DM, but over all the module was not that bad. The monsters/badguys were not too tricked out and warped with the cheese that had become the hallmark of 3.5 RPGA gaming, instead they were challenging, and resourceful foes. Our group did not do as well as most, “Nackel”, and though many tables throughout the history of the RPGA would blame it on the “Nackle” I would say it was because the monsters were resourceful, the DM was very clever and the PCs were just delirious from Nackle generated escapades. We really did have fun.

We are playing part four next week though I don’t remember its name. The player of the “Nackle” gnome will be the judge for the table.
