Well today is the last day of the RPGA Living Greyhawk Campaign, or is it? Around here a bunch of RPGA people are continuing the saga on their own. I have volunteered to run one game a month until we are out of RPGA modules to run. Apparently, there are plenty of mods still out there.
After we run out of published LG modules, we will continue to run games under the original core guidelines. The group here decided to go back to the core books when the time comes to make a new PC. We will use the Players Handbook, Players Handbook II, Spell Compendium, Rules Compendium, Dungeon Masters Guide, Magic Item Compendium, Manual of the Planes and Monster Manuals I-V. We will not use the builder books like the Complete Series, Complete Adventurer, Complete Arcane… people here believe those books don’t add anything to the game that you cannot do with a little imagination and role-playing with the core classes. The DMs will have the same restrictions plus the LGCS 597 v7.5 pdf file will act as a guide along with any other previously published articles.
We will see how long this will go on for, but it sounds like a busy year ahead for people who don’t want Greyhawk and 3.5 D&D to go away.
