It is said the dragon Surma sees all in Jelling and that her spies are everywhere. Chief amongst her repertoire of spies are the centaurs of the Green Forest. But here is my dilemma; the centaur is not included in the Core D&D Monster Manual. How rude… No problem, I will just create them by mixing Eladrin and Unicorns to make Surmarkan horsmen “the horsemen of Surma”. I built them using a mix of eladrin and the unicorn from the Monster Manual. In most cases the centaurs have acted as guides to PCs and to date players have not acted violently towards them, but I had to have stats just in case the story changes.
The four basic surmarkan horsman are: (They can be male or female)
Surmarkan Sinn, Level 12 Soldier (Leader)
Surmarkan Ronn Level 13 Soldier (Controller)
Surmarkan Yirret Level 23 (Controller)
Surmarkan Chiral Level 26 (Elite Artillery Leader)
The Sinn, Ronn & Yirrit all have jade colored skin and fur; higher level surmarken have darker tones jade-green. The Chiral has dark emerald colored skin and fur.

Surmarkan Sinn, Level 12 Soldier (Leader) –Eladrin Knight/Unicorn
Large Fey Magical Beast, XP: 700
Initiative: +11 Senses: Perception +4; low-light vision
Feywild Tactics aura 10; fey creatures in the aura score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 (a roll of 19 is not an automatic hit, however).
HP: 112; Bloodied 56
AC: 28; Fortitude 20, Reflex 21, Will 16
Saving Throws: +5 against charm effects
Speed 8; see also fey step
Melee: Hooves (standard; at-will)
+19 vs. AC; 2d6 + 5 damage.

The surmarkan sinn makes a charge attack: +19 vs. AC; 3d6 + 5 damage, and the target is pushed 1 square and knocked prone.
Melee: Surma’s Blessing (minor; encounter) ✦ Healing
An adjacent ally can spend a healing surge or make a saving throw against one effect that a save can end.
Ranged: Fey Beguiling (standard; recharges when no creature is affected by the power) ✦ Charm
Ranged 5; +17 vs. Will; the target cannot attack the surmarkan sinn, and the target must make opportunity attacks with a +2 bonus against any creature within reach that attacks the surmarkan sinn (save ends).
Melee: Longsword (standard; at-will) ✦ Weapon
+19 vs. AC; 1d8 + 5 damage.
Melee: Stab of the Entangling Wild (standard or opportunity attack; recharge ⚄ ⚅) ✦ Weapon
Requires longsword; +19 vs. AC; 3d8 + 5 damage, and the target is restrained until the end of the surmarkan sinn’s next turn. The surmarkan sinn cannot attack with its longsword while the target is restrained.
Ranged: Feywild Challenge (standard; encounter)
Ranged 10; the target is marked until the end of the encounter or until the surmarkan sinn dies, taking 4 damage each round it does not attack the surmarkan sinn.
Fey Step (move; encounter) ✦ Teleportation
The surmarkan sinn can teleport 8 squares.
Surma’s Sorrow (immediate reaction, when an ally within 5 squares of the surmarkan sinn is damaged; at-will) Half the attack’s damage is negated, and the surmarkan sinn takes the other half.

Ranged: Teleporting Bolt (standard; at-will) ✦ Teleportation
Ranged 10; +18 vs. Reflex; 1d10 + 6 damage, and the target is teleported up to 3 squares. The target cannot be teleported into an unsafe space.
Cast: Dazzling Blast (standard; recharge ⚄ ⚅) ✦ Radiant
Close blast 3; +18 vs. Will; 2d8 + 6 radiant damage, and the target is blinded until the end of the surmarkan ronn’s next turn.

The surmarkan chiral regains 2 hit points for each enemy who takes damage from this power.

The Green Forest is the southern natural boarder marking the beginning of the territory controlled by the dragon Surma. Surmakan roam freely in the Green Forest and in the North Western mountains of Jelling. The District of Nindowe is considered frontier land and is considered quite wild.
