I made it to 3rd level in Pathfinder RPG and I am still having fun. In 4e, it was about here where I found the system to break and become dull, so far, PF is holding my interest. I think it is the freshness of base character classes, I mean Paizo did a great job updating the races and classes. I am trying out the rogue and the cool part is I get to cast a zero level spell, the spell I chose was message, though, I wish I had chosen disrupt undead, after battling a bunch of skeletal wolves last night. I am going to try the alchemist trial character class for my next level, because I think it fits my rogues characters persona, that being someone who will try anything once, and likes explosions.
Last night’s battle with 3 skeletons and an evil cleric really challenged us, our cleric ended up being the most important PC, because without his healing and channel energy, we would have been a all dead. The scary party was the evil cleric ended up being tougher than expected, with his negative channeled energy. Yup, ouch to all. I had two hit points left at the end of the battle, which was one more than our party cleric and pretty much the rest of the party. The final blow to the skeletal wolf came from a party member who had zero hit points and rolled a natural 20, but did not confirm; he still did enough damage to make a tossed flask of acid, that another prone player had, effective enough to kill the wolf, that player was healed “just in time” to chuck the flask from negative hps to 1hp. We are all 3rd level now.
