Making Reincarnate Fun in Pathfinder

The cool thing about Pathfinder is that is very easy to integrate older game material into your game. I am playing in a PF game and we are having a discussion with the GM about the reincarnate spell. He wanted to apply the old version of the spell, because he wanted to have more animals represented, being a druid spell and all. I was like cool, I love the old reincarnate spell. He then shot me an email of the spell he was thinking of:

There is a 35% chance that the new incarnation will be from the
“humanoid” table and a 65% chance that the new incarnation
will be from the animal table.

We both agree that in Pathfinder RPG coming back as an Ogre Mage is just right out, “since Oni are outsiders in PF, and it would be a bit awkward to change into a spirit than then inhabits an ogre and mutates it into an ogre mage, and then gets your old memories . . .” We thought Tengu would be a decent replacement. As a judge, I always allowed the players to still speak even if the were a badger.
